“More Than Just Great Coffee”
Founded in 2010 as a wholesale roaster supplying beans to other cafés, they quickly outgrew the original plan when people started coming directly to them. A bigger warehouse, a welcoming storefront, and eventually multiple locations across the Southeast — all in service of the same thing they started with.
What makes Lucky Goat different isn't just the coffee — it's the approach. They don't want specialty coffee to feel exclusive or intimidating. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or you've never thought twice about your morning cup, their staff meets you where you are. Recommendations, brewing classes, single-origin tastings, cold brew — they make all of it accessible.
The name comes from an old legend: a herdsman named Kaldi noticed his goats had extra energy after eating wild berries near their feeding grounds. He tried them himself. Those berries were coffee. Atlanta has Lucky Goat to thank for bringing that energy to Dunwoody Park.
