About This Short
The transit agency is preparing to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the 22-acre site, aiming to create a mixed-use community with affordable and workforce housing, art-in-transit placemaking, and two new StationSoccer mini-fields for local youth.
The new fields will sit beside Invest Atlanta’s i-Village — the shipping container retail hub already bringing new life to the area. The redesign, led by Atlanta-based Chasm Architecture and Viridian Studios, will add glass walls, open light, and a more welcoming design for the 22,000 daily riders who pass through the station.
This project could spark a new wave of investment and opportunity on Atlanta’s Westside — blending transit, housing, and community like never before. 💬 What do you think — is this the kind of progress the Westside needs?
